Food Stamps

Back in the day, we didn't have  EBT or SNAP cards, we had "good ole" food stamps. My mother use to send me to the corner store with a list and her book of food stamps. I was only about seven years old, but remember feeling embarrassed and not wanting anyone to see me using them. I'd  stall until everyone left the store before paying for my items.  I'd sit and wait impatiently as the cashier tore the stamps out the book HOPING no one came in the store!! 😬When I had my children, I qualified for food stamps (EBT) and God knows they were a blessing!! I'm grateful for the extra help. I used them as a stepping stone. I certainly needed it. 🙌🏽❤🍇🥦🌮
